My daughter Jennifer Nicole wrote the following poem. She is a very special person and an inspiration to me and anyone that comes in contact with her.  If as the Psalmist declares that children are a reward and a gift from God, then I have been given only one gift greater from our Creator, and that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I have written many poems, but none that equals the message in her heart and spirit led prose. For that reason alone I have dedicated this spot on my site. I love you Nikki.

ABBA

You are my Abba...Tender and kind,

You have made the world,

And gave me my mind.

So, Why then do I sit here

Day after day

Wondering around in my own dismay?

Tell me the Truth Abba

As I sit trembling at Your knee...

"What exactly is it You want to do with me?"

Man has dreams and so do You

I only want to know the difference

Between the two!

You are Sovereign,

And You are just.

What good is it that You see in this dust?

You are Creator and You are Lord!

All of this I have come to know,

It is just my desire to know where to go.

You are my Abba... Tender and kind.

You have over come the world,

And not left me behind.

May You extend Your hand then to mine?

Because I know You are much more than kind.

You are my Savior and Friend,

You have seen me walking,

As my knees bend.

You've seen me walk through the sun,

And the rain.

You have always been here to ease my pain.

So where is it now that You have gone?

It seems much too long before the dawn!

Joy comes with the dawn,

And sorrow with the night.

So I want to live in the hour of light.

Abba Father, so tender yet full of might!

May I live that I might see

No more night?

Abba Father who is faithful and true,

It is my desire to live and

Serve You.

So at Your feet I sit and serve,

Full of the joy and pleasure

We both know I do not deserve.
