She's My Child
In a moment of her mothers
agony she was born.
Nine weeks too early, weight
just two pound ten.
A small package rushed out
her new life to begin.
She's my child, she's all I
need.
No one knows how I feel as
I've watched her grow.
She has won my heart, she's
all I need.
She's my child.
She has cerebral palsy the
doctor said.
Not perfect, a flaw in her
head.
She's my child, she's all I
need.
She probably won't walk he
said, she's my child.
But she's a fighter this
child of two, will prove the doctor wrong.
She's my child, she's all I
need.
The "Shuttle" blew
up and today she's three.
On her birthday seven met
their destiny.
Two older brothers and one
older sis could learn much from Nikki sis.
She's my child, she's all I
need.
I want to dance I heard her
say, now four
In leg casts to lengthen heel
cords.
Scars on heels, I believe she
will!
Almighty God, hear my prayer.
Give her strength to overcome
this thing
And wisdom to succeed.
She's my child, Your strength
she needs.
And when I am old with
eternity near
watch over her I pray.
For she is Your gift to me
and her mom.
She's my child
You know all I need
I'm Your child and so is she.
